💜💜💜💜4 HEARTS💜💜💜💜

I’m not going to be pretty or messy with this one, I’m just going to share my innocent opinion.

This is one of those sweet books, you know the one that are written just to pull at your heart strings and make you want to fall in love again. That’s so this book, this story. It’s not filled with a crazy amount of drama, just a love story.

See Through Heart by Amie Knight was written from the authors heart for sure. It screamed personal to me while I was reading it and it was confirmed at the end of the book.

Now a word for the author….

Synopsis

Ainsley came into my life in a flurry of vibrant colors, lighting my world up when all seemed lost.

It wasn’t our quiet nights by the creek or stolen kisses surrounded by a sea of cotton that saved me.

It was her.

She was my comfort when life threw one ugly tragedy after another at me.

Until she dealt me the greatest blow.

Now, abandonment, betrayal, and death darken every corner of my life. Anger and hurt burn bright where love and trust once lived.

But, now, she’s back. Sure, she’s changed, but I see through it—straight to her heart.

***********************************************************************

This story centers around Ainsley and Adrian life.

Ainsley and Adrian met when they were 8 years old and Adrian moved in next door to Ainsley. You go through there childhood into adulthood in this story. Ainsley is literally “the girl next door”.

When Adrian comes into her life he’s dealing with a big loss, he’s broken. Lucky for him, Ainsley has one of those “fixer” personalities. So it works out for both parties, he needs fixing and she needs something or someone to fix.

And as all stories that begin with childhood friends – they grow up and fall in love. Awe, how sweet.

Adrian is handsome, sweet, loving, humble and everything in between. He is the perfect book boyfriend for those girls who like them sweet and wholesome. He does have little alpha man in there too.

Ainsley was everything to him for a long time and he thought he was everything to her, until she left. When shit got rough for her she left. When she needed fixing she left. She was a runner. One of the worst type of females there is, IMO.

She spent so much time trying to fix everyone else she never worked on herself, she forgot to love herself first. So when tragedy hit home she ran away from those who loved her without looking back.

*****There are two types of females, riders and runners. Which one are you?****

I only fuck with riders……ok, so that had nothing to do with the book…..I just wanted to throw that out them.

Back to my review….

When Ainsley finally decided to bring her little ass back – 4 years later – Adrian was still heartbroken but also still in love with her.

Men are different than women, they don’t know how to heal their hearts once they are broken. They try, but the fear of pain is too hard for them. Adrian never loved anyone after Ainsley left. He dated of course, a man still has to get his rocks off – but love, nah….wasn’t happening.

Oh, but when he became face to face with the one woman he ever loved and the same one who broke his heart, he didn’t know how to process it.

As much as I wanted to hate Ainsley, I knew that a good part of me still loved her. That’s the thing with loving someone so deeply – it doesn’t go away simply because that person does something awful to you. It doesn’t just go away because you want it to.

So here lies the million dollar question….

Can he love her again?

Can he trust her again?

Can he give her his heart without fear of her breaking it?

Will she be a rider instead of a runner?

A man’s heart is fragile, more fragile than most women can begin to understand. He needed to that she could trust him to be her rock when she needs it. He needed to know that she would allow him to fix her broken pieces and not run away when shit gets real. Without those things he knew he couldn’t give himself to her again. He would never recover.

You see, this is a hearts and flowers story. Everyone needs a good hearts and flower book every now and then. So here you go. It was a nice change of pace for me. I often find myself reading book with a ton of drama or a more complex story line, so this was a breath of fresh air and I’m glad I read it.

Oh….Amie Knight is a new author, this is her debut book and I think she did great!

Make sure you guys read the “author’s note” at the end. It will make you appreciate this book in more ways than one.

I told you I wasn’t going to be messy.

Hey there! I'm Danielle! I just a girl who loves books. I love books so much that I talk about the stories like they are real. Who knows? Maybe, they are real to me. I do love the book world, it's way better than reality. . .sometimes. . .because. . .I'm also a proud mama bear, wife, and mother!
