Tramp by Mary Elizabeth – Book Review

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Tramp is truly a 4.5 STAR book. It’s been too long since I’ve read a Mary Elizabeth book, almost two years. Too since her last book. She’s been hiding from us. But, I’m not mad about it because she has come back strong. Mary Elizabeth is not playing around with this book.

I’m going to keep it pretty, pretty today. No mess.

First a quick word from the author. . .

Tramp by Mary Elizabeth

Lydia Montgomery is a Tramp. After fleeing a tragic past, Lydia’s determined never to go back to the life she left behind at any price. She lands in Grand Haven, California—a city booming with billion-dollar corporations and tech money—and everything changes.

Armed with the only lesson she learned from her mother, Lydia builds a life of routine, solitude, and success. Nothing is out of reach when you’re beautiful.

Nearly a decade after her arrival, Lydia’s the highest paid escort in the city, and only the most influential people in Grand Haven can get near her. She’s a goddess among her clients, and out of reach to everyone else. Lydia’s created the perfect illusion, and no one will take it from her again.

Until a misunderstanding lands her in the office of the city’s most eligible bachelor. Talent Ridge is Grand Haven royalty. Despite running in the same circles as Lydia’s clients, he’s scandal-free and on his way to being the most powerful man in the area.

Their chemistry is undeniable, but a relationship has the potential to destroy everything they’ve worked for. Especially when Lydia is running from her past and Talent is running toward a future she can never be a part of.

Beauty and money can’t save them this time. Are Lydia and Talent willing to give it all up for each other, or will their differences cost too much?

Tramp by Mary Elizabeth – Book Review

Let me start by saying that I went into Tramp by Mary Elizabeth with hooded eyes, I didn’t read a review or the synopsis. All I knew was that one of my favorite authors wrote a new book and there was a prostitute in it. This isn’t surprising if you’ve read her other books because none are your typical romance story.

If you know me, you know that I adore sex workers and have a huge of respect for them. So, reading a romance story involving a high-end escort was a no brainer for me.

I can sum up Tramp by Mary Elizabeth with just one word. . . hope. Every single sentence, paragraph, and chapter gives you a sense of hope in the world no matter your circumstances.

The book is perfectly titled because our leading lady, Lydia, is a tramp. I like to use the term high-end escort because she wasn’t standing on the corner handing out $20 blow- jobs. No, she was serving the elite and she’s not cheap. Lydia knows her worth.

“Society doesn’t understand why successful men pay for sex. Society fails to understand that complication and status go hand-in-hand, and after a while, questioning the authenticity and motives of everyone in life is a drag.”

Lydia
Lydia was never ashamed of her lifestyle.

She may have been an escort but that didn’t mean she didn’t know her worth. Confidence hung to her like a badge of honor.

Talent Ridge was never in the plan for Lydia but after a chance meeting, their worlds would collide in the most beautiful, tragic way and I was here for it. Talent isn’t like her other clients. No, he was much more. He was different for her and she was different for him.

“Talent’s the kind of guy who makes a slut feel like a queen.”

Lydia

There are a million and one things I could say about Talent that would make you fall in love with him but you deserve to experience that magic for yourself. Trust me, there is magic within the pages. The way he fights for Lydia is impressive in every way.

Tramp by Mary Elizabeth

“What you do is fucked-up. I don’t know how to ask you to stop or if you even can stop. All I know is that when you walked into my office that night, it was the first time I didn’t feel so fucking alone.”

Talent

Tramp by Mary Elizabeth is intense, sexy, unconventional, and intoxicating. The pace is perfect and the writing kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end. Mary Elizabeth showed up and showed out with Tramp, I couldn’t be happier. Did I mention that this fabulous work of are is a series but can be read as a standalone? She really laid out an impeccable foundation for the next book in the series.

In case you came here as a Mary Elizabeth fan and was wondering if she left this book on a cliffhanger like many of her others, the answer is no. I just wanted to through that out there because that was a huge concern of mine. There is no cliffhanger! 🙂

I want to answer the most important questions. . .

Do I recommend this book? Yes, very much so. If you a romance book lover who’s looking for just the right amount of drama, this one is for you.

Will I read another book by Mary Elizabeth? Yes, and I look forward to it. She has never disappointed me.

I told you I was going to keep this book review pretty and I did. I’m so proud of myself!

Let me know what you think of Tramp by Mary Elizabeth.
