OMG! I loved this one here! But, Yassssssss! Say You Want Me by Corinne Michaels was a great read.

I’m happy I don’t have to get messy on this review, I’m keeping it all the way pretty.

As usual we are going to start with a word from the author, Corinne Michaels ….

Synopsis

There’s no way I’ll fall for Wyatt Hennington.

He can keep his Southern drawl, irresistible smile, and those pick-up lines all to himself. I made the mistake of sleeping with him not once, but twice. I’m not stupid enough to give him round three, especially after he left me in the middle of the night so I could see myself out. I vow to return to Philadelphia and forget him.

It proves easier said than done.

When the doctor informs me I’m the winner of door prize number two, I put my life on hold and head back to Bell Buckle. Three months and if we can’t make this work, I’m gone.

The problem is—when the cards are stacked against us, and I can’t bring myself to leave him, I’ll finally know if he truly loves me or if all my fears were real . . .

***********************************************************************

So now that we have that out of the way let us get to my pretty little review, starting with Angie….

I loved Angie! I wanna be like her when I grow up – JK, I like myself. But she is one of my new favorite heroines. Let me list some of my favorite qualities of her.

  • She’s independent yet willing to compromise.
  • She never changed for anyone.
  • She’s a kickass, ride or die friend.
  • Family comes first for her.
  • No matter what life has thrown her way she pushes through and becomes a survivor, never a victim.

I was impressed by the author because she was able to show the reader (me) that Angie was not some young, dumb chick who needs to prove to the world how independent she is. It’s obvious that she can take care of herself but is willing to lay her pride down and compromise for the sake of her baby.

She’s 36 and pregnant by a wonderful man but an old school man. He’s more – “Ok, I knocked you up so we will get married, you’ll move in with me and I’ll take care of shit.” She’s like – “Thanks, that’s really sweet of you but I’m not feeling what you’re saying. That’s not going to work for me.”

Now this is where her maturity comes into to play. Instead of trying to prove that she doesn’t need a man to take care of her, she compromises. She gives him 3 months to show her not what she will be losing but to her what she will gain from being with him. She keeps an open mind which is a quality I love. She doesn’t run away from her feelings, she tries to understand them. She stays true to who she is and what she believes in and uses that to her advantage.

Oh, Wyatt, Wyatt, Wyatt….What are we going to do about you?

I loved Wyatt too! He was absolutely adorable. He’s kind, gentle, loving and sexy as hell. Yassssss! What more can you want?

Not one to shy away from his responsibilities, he tries his hardest to let Angie get to know him. Not just – “I’m your baby daddy so you need to find a way to love be because we’re having a baby together.” No, he’s more – “Hey I’m Wyatt, the guy who cared for you way before I knocked up up. Get to know this Wyatt. Get to know me. Say you want me.

He knows that he can’t make her stay in Tennessee but that doesn’t stop him from trying. He wants her to come to the conclusion on her own whether to stay or go. He knows he has a tough job on his hands but he’s all alpha so you already know he’s going to work hard for Angie (and baby).

But here’s the real question?

What happens when everything you’ve been working towards is taking away from you?

How hard to you fight? – How long will you fight? – Is it still worth fighting for?

And if you lose everything, are you willing to go the extra mile to get it back?

I loved this one, I recommend it, so try it out. If you don’t like it you can curse me out. I’m a big girl, I can take it….

….and since I kept this one pretty I don’t have any mess to clean up. Yay!!!
