Invisible Love Letter by Callie Anderson

⭐⭐⭐⭐4 STARS⭐⭐⭐⭐

Another freaking cliffhanger! I’ve been really busy of late and I haven’t had much time for reading. So I found a minute to read a new book and it leaves me with a cliffhanger. Fuck my life!!!! Now I have to go to bed not knowing how the story ends. WFT! Seriously!

Invisible Love Letter by Callie Anderson has pissed me off! I guess I’m going to have to suffer for a couple of days because I won’t have time to finish book 2, Endless Love Letter.

Before I head off to bed I’m going to make a quick post that’s going to get really messy because I’m oddly pissed off and tired.

As normal, a quick word from the author…

Love is fatal; a snake that slithers into your life, poisons you with its venom, and leaves you there to die.

I swore I wouldn’t be my parents.
I swore I would stay away from the limelight.

Falling in love with a musician was definitely out of the question.

Weston Carter was all kinds of wrong for a girl like me. He was musician, a womanizer, and a first class heartbreaker.

I didn’t know a love like this could exist. Our love was epic, the kind people wrote stories about. We fell into it hard, unable to control our feelings.

I set myself up for a shattered heart.
A broken life.
A fucked up love story.

Oh, my dear Emilia. Gosh I love you. I hate you too. No, I don’t really hate Emilia.

Let me tell you a little something, something about Emilia that will help you understand her actions. – Her father was a rock star and loved her mother fiercely.

Love is fatal: a snake that slithers into your life, poisons you with its venom and leaves you there to die. I swore I wouldn’t be like my parents. – Emilia

Her fathers intense love for her mother is the same love that left her an orphan at eleven years old. That kind of love is something Emilia wants nothing to do with. But love doesn’t give a shit about your feelings, it will find you eventually. Love found it’s way into Emilia’s life in the form of Weston Carter.

When you smile, it’s as though the universe has given me a gift. I feel you can see into my soul and touch it. – Weston

In all fairness, Emilia tried her best not to give her heart to Weston but he had no intention of taking no as an answer. I loved Weston and everything about him. I was so happy when Emilia decided to stop playing hard to get.

I understood her hesitation, her mother died of cancer and less than a year later her father kills himself. It must have been hard at 11 years old to realize that your father couldn’t live for you but would die for your mother.

I wouldn’t fall in love because I was a girl who didn’t believe and love conquered all. Love was a liar. It was created to hurt you and tear you apart. – Emilia

Now let us get the good shit…

What the fuck was going on in Emilia’s head to make her think it is okay to keep a man’s child a secret? Are you serious right now?

Is he abusive? No.

Is he a drug addict or alcoholic? No.

Do you hate him? No.

Do you think he would be a horrible father? No.

Does he love you more than anything in the world? Yes.

Then why the fuck did you keep this man away from he’s child? Last time I checked it takes two to make a baby. Every time you have sex you run the risk of having a baby. He knew that just as much as Emilia. He had the right to know that he was going to have a child. He had the to make his own decision about what he wanted to do. Emilia had no right to take that choice away from Weston. My heart broke for him.

He would stay by my side and help me raise this baby. If he stayed and I lost the baby or something worse happened, he would resent me for the rest of his life. They say a woman becomes a mother the day she finds out she’s pregnant. At that moment, I chose to put my child’s life before anyone else, even Weston. I was about to break his heart, and mine, but I needed to protect the little creature growing inside me. – Emilia

Hell to the no! Bitch! No!

You can’t take that man’s choice away!!!!!

But what’s done is done.

As much as Emilia thought she was protecting her child, her secret would eventually destroy her life.

If you truly love someone, you’ll do everything in your power to make sure they never feel true pain. – Emilia

If you’ve read my blog before you know I have a hatred towards wasted time. As you can already guess, Weston does find out about his daughter four years later. Think about that. That’s four long years of broken hearts. Emilia’s, Weston’s and even poor Lyra, their daughter. They lost 4 years of being family because somebody (Emilia’s ass) decided to fuck all that up.

Jeremy, Jeremy, Jeremy – I adored him. He was an amazing man, ever girls dream really. Just not Emilia. But he loved Emilia and Lyra with everything he had. Emilia should be thanking her lucky stars that she was loved completely, not once but twice. The only problem was Jeremy never stood a chance of owning Emilia’s heart because it belonged to Weston. It would always belong to Weston.

“I’m still very much in love. The kind of love that you write invisible love letters for.” – Weston

I don’t really know how to end this review because the story isn’t finished. I guess that means neither is my post. I’m going to leave it on a cliffhanger too!!!!   🙂   🙂   🙂

It is hard for me to dislike Emilia because as much as I disagreed with her choice of keeping the baby away from Weston, I understood why she did. She was a woman with many layers, just like the rest of us. Who the hell am I to hold that against her? It’s not my damn baby!

Love is fatal: a snake that slithers into your life, poisons you with you with its venom and then leaves you there to die. – Emilia

I can’t wait to dive into book 2 but it fucking sucks that I won’t have the time to do it for a few days. Fuck my life.

Now I’m going to get nice and pretty for bed, no more messy Danielle. Until next time. TTYL…

Hey there! I'm Danielle! I just a girl who loves books. I love books so much that I talk about the stories like they are real. Who knows? Maybe, they are real to me. I do love the book world, it's way better than reality. . .sometimes. . .because. . .I'm also a proud mama bear, wife, and mother!
