Hell no! You don’t read enough!
Reading is fucking sexy.
Have you ever seen a man reading?
Do you watch too much T.V.?
Do you stroll social media too much?
Do you eat too much?
You think I read a lot? You should see some of the people I follow on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Goodreads. Those bitches read a lot!
What would you prefer I do?
- I could binge on The Real Housewives of Wherever. Why? I don’t care of there rich people drama. They don’t care about my middle-class drama.
- I could sit on Instagram and compare my life to people who are probably lying about theirs. But guess what?… I don’t give a fuck about them either.
- Maybe I can follow a shit ton of people accounts who workout all day, everyday and wish my body looked like theirs. Why? I’m already married and he’s out of shape so who is he to complain? Not to mention, I love myself very much and don’t give a shit.
So why not read a book? Reality is overrated sometimes. It’s fun stepping outside of it and engrossing yourself into a characters world. At least I know it’s for a fact it’s not real. Unlike reality tv and social media where stupid people pretend all the time.
You want some reality?
I spend my work days taking care of people who have been hit by cars and have half of their brain coming out of their skull. When someone’s 21 year old decides to commit suicide and fails because they didn’t do it right and only blow have their face off – I’m there. When someone starts a new medication and falls because they took to much and paralyze themselves – I’m there. When a little old lady hits a mother and 3 with her car and kills her – I’m there. So, yeah… I would rather read a book get lost in a dream world.
If I ever stop reading, I’ll think I will try my hand a stripping. I hear strippers make good money.
Hopefully I will stop getting this stupid ass questions from men in my DM. Y’all are getting on my nerves. FYI – dick pics are nasty, stop sending them to me.

Men who read are dead sexy! I think life would be way more depressing without the diversion of reading to take you away to another world. Hey, some people decompress by watching all the Real Housewives, cooking, flossing or whatever, and more power to them. Just don’t knock my reading!

I was shocked when a coworker said this to me. Talking about they noticed how much I read on my breaks. One of the moms my daughter plays with said the same this. She said I was antisocial because I preferred reading. I told her they I know lots of people and read about them all the time 🙂
