It’s that time again for Pretty Mess Reading 2017 Favorite Books List!!! 2017 was a year of love for me. There were so many amazing books – a few let downs too, but we’re not worried about those right now.
Every book on my 2017 Favorite Books List gave me some type of feels. Some pissed me off. Some made me fall in love. Some took me by surprise. Overall, they mean a lot to me.
My 2017 Favorite Books List are all books that have stayed with me long after I finished them. They are not in order and some aren’t even 5 STAR reads. I will tell you that ALL of them gave me a book hangover.
In no particular order, here’s my 2017 Favorite Books List. . .

A Charm Of Finches by Suanne Laqueur

Drive by Kate Stewart
Music . . . the heart’s greatest librarian.
The average song is three and a half minutes long; those three and a half minutes could lead to a slow blink, a glimpse of the past, or catapult the soul into heart-shattering nostalgia.

Act Your Age by Eve Dangerfield
Just because Kate ‘Middleton’ McGrath, wants a man to call ‘daddy’ in bed doesn’t mean— Oh, you stopped reading. Cool.
Kate gets it. Kinks aren’t for everyone. Hell, they’re probably not for Mr Henderson, her grumpaholic boss. She really shouldn’t have crush on him, but the man is just so goddamn stern. Sure, a lot of that comes down to ‘being her boss,’ but still, it feels like there might be something there.

Wish You Were Here by Renee Carlino
You know when you’re looking at someone and you can’t help but smile at how oblivious they are to their own charm? That’s what was happening to me, and it was making me feel…happy. Euphoric. Something indescribable. It was like we already knew each other, like we had met in a previous life. Memories that didn’t exist began exploding in my mind like fireworks.
How To Date A Douchebag – The Learning Hours by Sara Ney
He’s not a douchebag; but that doesn’t stop his friends from turning him into one. MY FRIENDS WANT ME TO GET LAID. So much so that they plastered my ugly mug all over campus, in bold printed letters: “Are you the lucky lady who’s going to break our roommate’s cherry?
Him: socially awkward man with average-sized penis looking for willing sexual partner. You: must have a pulse. He will reciprakate with oral. Text him at: 555-254-5551

Bottom Of The Sky by Shae Ross
The last thing I need is to be saddled with the on-the-run niece of the family I’m about to take down. Gianna Silva wants me to help her find her missing mother. But I’ve got bigger fish to fry—namely, her cousins Stefano and Santos Silva. I’m working on the inside, feeding information to the FBI, and I’m about to drop the net on their ring of counterfeiters. To keep Gianna out of my way, I’ve agreed to help her but under one condition: What I say goes. No questions. No pushback. I make the rules.
