Can you get to know a person by the books they read?

Can you get to know a person by the books they read?

…….. yes and no, IMO.

If you take a look at the books I read and review they are for the most part, romance books. But believe it or not, I’m not a huge fan of romance in real life. I don’t want to hold hands in public much. I don’t like to cuddle every night. I’m not big on romantic dinners. I hate grand gestures in public. I get uncomfortable when men get in their feelings too much and want to share it with me. I’m not a fan of flowers or cards. Crazy right?!?!

At the same time, I want to feel loved. I like it when a man calls me sexy and smacks me on the ass. I crave rough and crazy sex. I loved just a wee bit of dirty talk when I’m having sex, no other times. I like threesomes with women only. I love going to strip clubs with my man. And above all… I go nuts for a sexy body.

If I could have my perfect date it would go like this…

Shopping

Sex

Lunch at a pub

Sex

Nap with no cuddling

Sex

Dinner with my BFF

Sex

Netflix with man

Sex

Too bad my life doesn’t even resemble my list. Maybe the shopping and drinks with my BFF. 😦

I don’t want to discuss our hopes and dreams. I don’t want to hear about your feelings for me. If my guy wants to share his feelings, I will give him two minutes max. 🙂

That’s all my man needs to say. Anything beyond that becomes annoying.

In saying all that… you wouldn’t think that if you looked at the books I read.

I know people who enjoy thrillers and I love them but I’m not into thrillers. The same can be said about Harry Potter books. I like the movies but could care less about the books. I know plenty of awesome people who would die if they never read the books.

I am married to a man who loves to be romantic, which gets on my damn nerves. This is the same man who hates romance books.

Side note: We still argue to this day about me not feeling his romantic side. It’s fucking annoying. All jokes aside, I often wonder about our compatibility – no lie.

From my personal experience, you can get to know someone by their music choices better than their book choices. If you want to get to know me, look through my current playlists. I am very protective over them because I’m not big on people in my personal feelings. They are mine!!!
